Evening shows had 39.42% occupancy, while the night shows recorded the highest figure at 48.58%.
Tamil version leads Day 17 collections
The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor to the film’s domestic earnings. It earned Rs 2.20 crore net on Saturday.The Hindi version added another Rs 15 lakhs to the day’s India net collection. Together, the two versions took the film’s Day 17 India net earnings to Rs 2.35 crore.
India net collection reaches Rs 188.50 crore
‘Jana Nayagan’ has now collected Rs 188.50 crore net in India. Its total India gross collection has reached Rs 219.71 crore. The film had recorded Rs 153.55 crore during its first week.Its second week added another Rs 31.60 crore to the domestic net total. The third week began with collections of Rs 1.60 crore on Thursday.The film then earned Rs 1 crore on Friday before registering a significant increase on Saturday.
Overseas collection takes worldwide total higher
Jana Nayagan has also maintained its presence in overseas markets. The film added Rs 25 lakhs to its overseas gross on Day 17.Its total overseas gross collection now stands at Rs 93.15 crore.The domestic India gross of Rs 219.71 crore, combined with the overseas gross, takes the film’s worldwide collection to Rs 312.86 crore.
