Thalapathy Vijay‘s ‘Jana Nayagan’ has continued its impressive run at the box office during its opening weekend. The action entertainer witnessed a healthy rise in collections on its first Sunday.According to Sacnilk, the film collected an estimated Rs 32.00 crore net on Day 4. This represents a 10.7% increase over Saturday’s collection of Rs 28.90 crore.
India and worldwide collections cross new milestones
‘Jana Nayagan’ has now taken its total India net collection to Rs 124.75 crore. The film’s India gross collection now stands at Rs 145.98 crore.The film also continued to perform well overseas. It added Rs 10.00 crore gross from international markets on Sunday. As a result, the overseas total has climbed to Rs 71.50 crore. The film’s worldwide gross collection has now reached Rs 217.48 crore after just four days in theatres.The Tamil version earned Rs 27.30 crore, while the Hindi version contributed Rs 3.35 crore and the Telugu version added Rs 1.35 crore.The Tamil version registered an overall occupancy of 69.04%. Afternoon shows recorded 76.62%, while evening shows peaked at 78.46%.The Hindi version reported an overall occupancy of 21.33%. Meanwhile, the Telugu version registered 24.39% occupancy across its Sunday shows.Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 22.50 crore gross. Karnataka followed with Rs 4.75 crore, while Kerala added Rs 2.85 crore. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together contributed Rs 2.05 crore, and the Rest of India accounted for Rs 5.02 crore. These numbers pushed the film’s Day 4 India gross collection to Rs 37.17 crore.
