Zimbabwe will be up against New Zealand in the third match of the tri-series. This article provides details about New Zealand’s Playing 11 vs Zimbabwe for the third match of the series.

New Zealand Playing 11 vs Zimbabwe- Match 3, Zimbabwe T20I Tri Series 2025:

Openers: Devon Conway, Tim Seifert (wk)

New Zealand will open the batting with Devon Conway, who has come in as a replacement for Finn Allen, and will be partnered by Tim Seifert for the third game of the tri-series against Zimbabwe.

The BlackCaps, who will feature in only their second international game since April, would want the pair to get the team off to a good start in the upcoming match.

Both batters have a rich amount of experience as far as international cricket is concerned and would like to put that to full use against the home side and get back into rhythm.

If we talk about the individual performances of both batters in this particular format of the game, both Seifert and Conway have delivered some good performances in this particular format of the game.

Having said that, Seifert hasn’t been a regular part of the team and would wish to cement his spot for the matches to come.

Conway, on the other hand, has performed well in T20s and will look to do the same in the match against Zimbabwe.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Tim Robinson, Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Hay, James Neesham, Bevon Jacobs, Mitchell Santner (c)

The opening pair will be followed by a middle order, which has a good blend of youth and experienced batters like Daryl Mitchell and captain Mitchell Santner, who will bat lower down the order.

Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, and James Neesham will be supported by young batters like Tim Robinson and Bevon Jacobs, both of whom will look to make the most of the opportunity they are getting in the tri-series.

New Zealand’s middle order has a lot of players who can switch positions according to the situation that the team finds itself in during the game.

The series is a good chance for New Zealand to test the team’s bench strength in order to identify the best combination for the matches to come, which includes the T20 World Cup in 2026 to be played in India and Sri Lanka.

Bowlers: Matt Henry, Ish Sodhi, Jacob Duffy

As far as the Kiwis’ bowling department is concerned, it looks a well-rounded unit with the presence of names like Matt Henry, Ish Sodhi, and Jacob Duffy.

The team’s fast bowling department will be handled by Matt Henry and Jacob Duffy, with James Neesham chipping in as a seam bowling all-rounder.

As far as New Zealand’s spin bowling resources are concerned, it includes Ish Sodhi and the captain, Mitchell Santner, who will look to lead from the front.

The Mitchell Santner-led side is expected to go into the match against Zimbabwe with an unchanged playing XI.
