NICL AO recruitment 2025: The National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) has invited online applications for the recruitment of 266 Administrative Officers (AO), comprising both Generalist and Specialist positions. The application process has commenced on the official website — nationalinsurance.nic.co.in, and will continue till July 3, 2025.The recruitment drive is aimed at filling 96 Specialist and 170 Generalist posts. The Preliminary Examination (Phase I) will be conducted on July 20, while the Main Examination (Phase II) is scheduled for August 31, 2025, NICL said in its official notification.
NICL AO 2025: Selection process
The selection process consists of two examination phases followed by an interview. The Phase I Preliminary Exam will be conducted online and will include Objective Type Questions for a total of 100 marks, with three sections and individual time limits.Candidates who qualify will appear for Phase II, which includes an Objective Test (250 marks) and a Descriptive Test (30 marks). Both sections will be conducted online. The Descriptive Test will follow the Objective Test without a break and will require candidates to type their answers.The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the Main Examination (Objective Test) and Interview. The Descriptive component will be qualifying in nature.

Eligible candidates are required to apply online by visiting the NICL recruitment portal at nationalinsurance.nic.co.in. The process includes registration, filling in personal and educational details, uploading necessary documents, payment of fees, and final submission of the form.
- Visit the official website of NICL and navigate to the “Recruitment” or “Careers” section.
- Click on the link titled “Recruitment of Administrative Officers 2025” and select the “Apply Online” option.
- Complete the registration process by entering basic details such as name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number. A system-generated registration number and password will be sent to the registered email and phone.
- Log in using the credentials and fill out the application form carefully, entering all required information including personal details, academic qualifications, and work experience (if applicable).
- Pay the application fee online using any of the available payment gateways — debit/credit card, internet banking, or UPI. Ensure that the payment status is successful.
- Preview the completed form to check for any errors. No changes will be allowed after final submission.

NICL has fixed the application fee at ₹1,000 for General category candidates, while candidates from SC/ST/PwBD categories are required to pay ₹250.
