Noah Schnapp says THIS scene was added to ‘Stranger Things’ finale on his suggestion, which wasn't 'originally' a part of the series
Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, revealed he influenced a pivotal scene in the ‘Stranger Things’ finale. He discussed with the Duffer Brothers the need for a more conclusive moment between Mike and Will, leading to the inclusion of their heartfelt conversation atop the tower. This scene offered closure for their characters’ journey, emphasizing their enduring friendship.

The ‘Stranger Things’ finale has left fans emotional about the show’s ending after 10 years. Slowly, the creators and cast members of the show have been revealing details about behind-the-scenes incidents and how some of the shots were created. In a recent interview, 21-year-old actor Noah Schnapp, who plays Will, revealed how he was the reason behind one of the most talked-about scenes in the last episode of the series. Read on to know more about which scene Noah Schnapp is talking about.

Noah Schnapp talks about how he got the Duffer Brothers to include a specific scene

While talking to People about the hit OTT series, Noah Schnapp ended up revealing a crucial piece of information. Talking about the series finale, ‘The Rightside Up’, the actor revealed that one of the emotional scenes between Mike and his character Will was something he got the Duffer Brothers to include in the script. He referred to his coming-out scene in episode 7, and cited that a lot of things were left “unsaid” between the main characters. “I did actually speak to the Duffers, and they included a scene in the finale that wasn’t originally there to kind of close that story properly,” he further explained. The scene he is talking about refers to Mike and Will’s best friends’ scene as the gang is climbing up the tower to go into the Mind Flayer’s lair. Schnapp further shared that the Duffer Brothers were always open to suggestions. “If something doesn’t work, or if something feels not right, you can speak to them, and they will work with you,” Schnapp further quipped.

More about Mike and Will’s scene

In the final episode, as the gang carries out ‘Operation Beanstalk’, Mike and Will share a moment as they stop for a break while climbing the tower. Mike is seen apologizing to Will for everything he did over the past few years. He talks about how he should have noticed and how he should have said something. Will, on the other hand, smiles at him and reassures him that everything is alright. He tells him, “It needed to happen the way it happened. I needed to find my own way.” The two then conclude their talk by promising to always remain “best friends” no matter what.
