Ranveer Allahbadia is facing a lot of backlash at the moment for his question to a contestant on Samay Raina‘s show, ‘India’s Got Latent‘. The Youtuber asked a contestant, “Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?” He also asked this contestant an indecent question involving body parts and proposed an act in exchange of Rs 2 crore.
After this controversy, the Ranveer has lost around 8000 followers – 4153 followers on his personal account and 4205 on his handle called ‘BeerBiceps‘. This report is according to an influencer marketing intelligence platform, Qoruz.
The influencer has also apologised to everyone. He shared a video and said, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context, justification or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here for an apology.”
However, the internet is not in the mood to forgive him and he continues to face backlash. This particular video has now been removed from Youtube. An FIR has also been filed against Allahbadia, Samay Raina and several co-judges, including Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh and Apoorva Makhija. The FIR accuses them of promoting obscene and sexually explicit content on the show, invoking multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
