Bollywood vanity vans have always been a topic of curiosity, but filmmaker Sanjay Gupta has taken it to another level with his shocking revelations. He recently shared how some stars go overboard with multiple vanity vans—and even hinted at a famous couple who demand as many as 11.
Stars with six vanity vans
On Cyrus Broacha’s podcast, Sanjay revealed that some Bollywood stars use as many as six vanity vans. Without naming anyone, he explained that one van is for personal use, another for changing, one for makeup, and even a separate one just for holding meetings.
Gym and food vans on set
The director added that apart from the personal, makeup, and meeting vans, the star also has a gym van. This means the actor brings along a trainer, assistants, and staff just to manage it—so one van ends up involving several extra people. On top of that, the makeup and styling teams also come with their own assistants.
A couple with 11 vans
He went on to say that the same actor even has a fifth van just for eating, with a personal chef on set to measure his food. The sixth van is reserved for his staff. He also revealed that a Bollywood couple takes things even further, showing up with 11 vanity vans, including two different kitchen vans. What surprised him most was that, despite being husband and wife, they still choose to eat separately on set.
Soon after Gupta’s comments went viral, fans flooded the comment section with guesses about which stars he was hinting at. Some were convinced he was talking about Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, while others felt it could be Akshay Kumar. One user even claimed the shelved South film Gupta mentioned was a Prasanth Varma project, the director behind HanuMan.
On the work front, Ranveer will next be seen in Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’. The film also stars Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt and others in lead roles. Deepika, on the other hand, will be seen in Atlee’s next starring Allu Arjun.
