Thomas Tuchel has reportedly agreed on a deal to become the England national team’s new manager replacing Gareth Southgate who resigned from his position last July. Tuchel is expected to lead the Three Lions at least until the end of World Cup 2026 in Canada, Mexico and the USA.
Tuchel Set to be Announced as New England Boss Soon
After several rumours regarding his future, the German manager has finally set to take a new role following his departure from Bayern Munich. Tuchel was being linked with several teams, notably Manchester United but apparently, the tactician is heading in a different direction, which is International football.
According to reports from Time Sport(via Fabrizio Romano), the former Chelsea boss has already agreed on a deal with the England national team which will see him managing them until July 2026. Further reports also suggested that the manager has already signed his contract and only a formal announcement is currently missing.
The England FA look to announce their decision regarding Tuchel’s appointment this week, just after the international break ends. The 51-year-old will hope to bring more success than his predecessor, Southgate. Considering the amount of talents that the Three Lions currently have, it’s certainly expected that the tactician will be given a massive target.
Fortunately, Tuchel does have a pretty good experience as a winning tactician, notably with his success in helping Chelsea win the Champions League during the 2020-21 season by beating Manchester City in the final. Aside from that, he also aided the Blues in winning the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup both in 2021. The coach also won several titles as well during his time at Borussia Dortmund, PSG, and Bayern Munich.
