Could the Montreal Canadiens take a run at Morgan Frost? Maybe expand a deal to include a defenseman
The Sick Podcast: Jimmy Murphy, when asked about Calgary Flames forward Morgan Frost, and if the Montreal Canadiens could be a potential fit. Could the Canadiens look at expanding the deal to include defenseman Zach Whitecloud.

Host: “This is a player that’s interesting to me. Morgan Frost is still a young player, young center, and obviously he’ll have major responsibilities if he’s still with the Calgary Flames because they are thin. Let’s just say that. However, since they are sort of rebuilding, retooling, there might be an avenue here for the Canadians to swoop in.”
NHL Rumors: Connor Hellebuyck and Jimmy Snuggerud
Murphy: “Yeah, it’s been interesting. His name popped up a bit at the deadline, and you know, like he kind of, you didn’t hear much. It was just thrown out there. I think it was Dave Pagnotta that threw it out there and said he’s available.
And it was surprising considering. Was it just, not this season we just finished, but wasn’t it the season before when he got moved from Philly? I can’t remember.”
Host: “Yeah. Him and (Joel) Farabee.”
Murphy: “Yeah, that’s right. So he hasn’t been in Philly that, I mean in Calgary that long. And I was surprised when Philly cut ties with him. He just seemed like a good young prospect.
Hasn’t really been able to find his groove yet in the NHL, but I think that’s the type of player that Kent Hughes and Jeff Gordon like to bring in and like to acquire. Young talent that hasn’t necessarily fulfilled the potential that a lot of people gave him when, when he was drafted or when he entered the league.
And he, like I said, he’s he’s still very, very young. I think that would be worth it. Maybe you could package him. Maybe you could get Frost and (Zach) Whitecloud in the same deal.”

Host: “Whitecloud. That’s it.”
Murphy: “Who knows? I mean, I, I think it’s something they got to look into.”
