Yungblud has apologised after taking a photo with a controversial musician while in Australia.

The British singer, who has been touring the country this month, posed for a photo with Till Lindemann, the frontman German metal band Rammstein, while the pair were both in Western Australia.

Lindemann posted the photo with the caption, ”Absolute pleasure meeting @yungblud in Perth.”

British rockstar Yungblud has issued an apology after taking a photo with a disgraced musican in Australia.

Lindemann was accused of sexual misconduct for spiking a fan’s drink at a pre-concert party in Lithuania in 2023.

Other women also came forward with similar allegations, but prosecutors dropped the case due to a lack of evidence.

Yungblud received swift backlash for the photo, which he has now responded to in an audio message posted to Instagram.

The rocker said he had “no idea” about the allegations against Lindemann.

”I had no idea — obviously at the minute I’m meeting lots of people every day without fully knowing who they are or what they’re about,” Yungblud said.

“And I can assure you, if I knew about any allegations, it would have been a completely different story.

“You all know what I stand for, always. I’ll be more aware of it in the future.”

The statement came as Yungblud’s new album IDOLS reached No. 1 on the ARIA albums charts.

Along with his music, Yungblud is beloved by his fans for his activism, especially during his shows.

During his sold-out concert at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on January 13, he gave a speech to a crowd of 13,000 fans that quickly went viral online.

“Two years ago, I spoke about a girl called Mahsa Amini from Iran, who was murdered for not wearing her hijab,” he said.

“And no, it is not my prerogative to question somebody’s religion. But this community fights for equality and liberation throughout the f–king world.

“What is going in Iran … this revolution is led by the f–king women.”

He went on saying the internet has been cut, and the people of Iran were asking for “our voices.”

“We have to be their f–king light right now. So speak, shout, post, because they are fighting for freedom … Nobody is free until we are all f–king free.”
