The Aussie radio show that saw Keith Urban hang up on them after asking a crude question about his now ex-wife Nicole Kidman has been axed.
The Australian Radio Network (ARN) confirmed the Hayley & Max in the Morning breakfast show on Mix 102.3 will be wrapping up this year, with their last broadcast slated for December 12.
According to a statement provided to Mediaweek, the cancellation is not due to Urban’s reaction.

An ARN spokesperson told the outlet the cancellation “marks the beginning of a new era for ARN in Adelaide.
“In 2026, the station will launch a new live and local breakfast show as part of a refreshed whole station strategy focused on bolder content and bigger moments that really set the station apart.”
“This next phase will deliver differentiated and bolder live content, bigger moments with a strong connection to Adelaide; a step-change in how we entertain and engage audiences,” added Lauren Joyce, ARN’s Chief Audiences and Content Officer.

The radio station also announced the end of its Brisbane breakfast show, Robin, Kip & Corey Oats, airing on KIIS 97.3.
Hayley and Max came into the spotlight in July this year when Urban and his team hung up mid-interview.
While happily playing the Adelaide-based radio show’s Wall of Truth game, host Max Burford pushed the limit when he asked how Urban feels about Kidman’s racy scenes with Zac Efron in the film A Family Affair.

“What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?” Max asked, to complete silence.
Another person added, “His team hung up on us as they didn’t want us to ask that question”.
“He’s gone! See you Keith,” they added, saying they weren’t told not to ask that question.

“I thought we were vibing with Keith… Do we have beef with Keith Urban now?” Max asked.
Co-host Hayley Pearson admitted she felt bad after what happened.
“We’ve upset him, he’s gone. He doesn’t like talking about his wife. He hates us. I knew that was going to happen,” she said.
Months later, Kidman filed for divorce from Urban after reports arose that they had split.
Rumours of the end of their 19-year-long marriage broke on Tuesday, September 30, with the Oscar-award winner filing for divorce on Wednesday, October 1.
