India secured a five-wicket victory over New Zealand in the first ODI at Eden Park in Auckland to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. While the match featured impressive performances from India’s bowling attack and Virat Kohli’s brilliant half-century, an amusing moment involving Shreyas Iyer also caught the attention of viewers.
The Indian batter was sitting in the dugout, fully padded up and waiting for his opportunity to bat, when he began performing an eye exercise using his bat. The moment became even more entertaining when former India cricketer Ravi Shastri, who was on commentary, noticed the activity and imitated Iyer.

Iyer was holding his bat straight in front of his face with both hands and moving his eyeballs from left to right and then right to left. The batter appeared focused on the exercise before noticing that the cameras were capturing him.
He then looked towards the screen, smiled cheekily and broke into laughter. Meanwhile, Shastri was seen copying the same eye movements from the commentary box, making the moment even more amusing for viewers.
